Available Units at Second Street Studios

 

 

South Court

Started in 1990, the thirty five units in the 40,000 square foot South Court offer several large 2400 square foot spaces directly on Second Street, designed for retail use. The four buildings incorporate a mix of 600 square foot studios and 1200 square foot live/work units. Each large live/work unit offers a small 400 square foot studio apartment upstairs, with a separate entrance to a walkway connection to the ground. Each has a generous 800 square foot open area downstairs with a garage door on the parking side and sliding patio doors opening onto a common landscaped courtyard on the front side.

 

Middle Court

Built in 1993, the two buildings in 10,000 square foot Middle Court section contain five large 1300 square foot live/work units in which the upstairs apartment is expanded to 500 square feet with large closet added. In addition, there are six 600 square foot studio apartments, some with garage doors and high ceilings and sky lights. The two buildings open onto a common landscaped courtyard, with beautiful wisteria-trellised staircases connecting the walkways serving the upper story.

 

North Court

The North Court consists of four buildings totaling 20,000 square feet in 22 mixed use units. Each of the buildings opens onto a landscaped courtyard, served by three separate drives from Second Street, with adequate parking on the back and side of each structure. All of the ground floor units have reserved parking adjoining the entrance or garage door. There is a mix of live/work spaces at 1,300 square feet each and smaller 600 square foot spaces that can be used for offices, galleries, shops, medical services, warehousing, light manufacturing or artist studios. All ground floor units have handicap-access bathrooms which allows any public access use. There is full sprinkler fire protection in all eight of the 1,300 square foot live/work units.

 

The Sari Building

This two-story building consists of executives offices, now occupied by a varied population of tenants — CoLAB (which occupies half of the ground floor), environmental groups.

 

The Rachel Building

This 20,000 square foot one-story masonry structure purchased in the mid-1990s and completely remodeled, it now houses Astilli’s art storage company, Capitol Computers, and houses a large commercial catering facility.as well as several other smaller users. The 16-foot ceilings make for large open spaces.
